MTA Bus seems to spend an inordinate amount of time and effort in getting various approvals for the routes buses take where there are no bus stops. Greater flexibility for management and greater convenience for passengers would likely result if management were permitted to authorize any reasonable route that does not affect the service of passenger stops.2. The Q41 report seems to be long on technical analysis and short on political analysis. That is, it reinforces the perception that the MTA knows what is "best" for us, and that actual subjective perception of the electorate is largely irrelevant. Long live centralized planning! |
