Do you ask a lady if her head is shaved?...So how many woman do you know that you are talking about?Of course not, but my wife has seen them with their heads uncovered and could certainly name several dozen. I can think of two women in my community who have shaved heads, one of whom didn't before beginning cancer treatment. Of course, I do not live in a hasidic community in Brooklyn, and I know the practice is common in some small circles. |
