This is probibly the greatest problem our society has; when rights colide.On the one hand, you have the jewish group that operates the bus's right to freedom of religion. On the other, you have the right of people not to be descriminated againts. the simple answer, as used by the courts in such situations, is who would be hurt more. Best example of this is why it's legal for the Hybernians to exculde gay groups from the St. Patrick's day paraide. Right of free speach on the LGBT groups vs the right of association for the private organizers of the event. |
