It's less about the frequency or destination, and more about the ability to NOT be tied to any schedule but their own.Staten Island wasn't planned around transit dependance; it was designed around highways that were never completed. It's MEANT to be a car-dependent suburb within the city. People don't move here because it's convenient; they move here to get away from the relatively cramped conditions in the other boros. |
