I think the blind hatred of every 1996 vintage RTS that is not a FP original is pathetic, but he does have a point that while Staten Island is getting a huge fleet of new buses after having the Orion 7 NG's new, some of the most worn buses were being dumped in Brooklyn. If you look at the average age of the local fleets, there is definitely a disparity between depots. That is not to say that they should always be even because that would be impossible to regulate, but I think they could do a better job of spreading out buses from depots that have less strong maintenance programs rather then clustering them among the same few depots |
