I wouldn't be shocked if SEPTA's next order (155 artics, 90 rigids) were the Excelsior model. They will tentatively be straight diesel (depending on funding).I heard the same thing about any new buses after this 20111 batch will be straight diesel. Nothing is set in stone yet. I can't wait to see the new artics. I road one of the first DE40LFR's today, I like them. My driver friend does, too, they turn corners better. Lot's of turns on the 118. Not too shabby for a cell phone photo:
