A line of U.S. Supreme Court cases upholding administrative regulations support the proposition that the limitation on languages used for communication of information may be indicative of discrimination on the basis of national origin. Thus, it is conceivable that Private Transportation might also have that concern (i.e., national origin discrimination) as well, especially if, as has been suggested, the "rule" applies only to those people who understand Yiddish. (And for that matter, contracts need not be written in English to be enforceable.)In short, the company seems to be living dangerously in publishing this type of text. |
