Sorry - but you may be wrong on that one. In the years between '76 and '80, I saw double digit Fishbowls on the 79th Street Crosstown buses. They were notable to me because of their very low numbers, i.e. 11, 14, 39. I was surprised to see buses with anything less than 4 digit numbers as that was pretty typical back then.

But in the late 70's, I did see them more than once as I was driving a medallion cab. FWIW - I only saw Fishbowls with those very low numbers in Mahattan on the Upper East and Upper West Sides.
