44 runs them as well as many trips on the 43/44 are interlined.

Metro has ran a large fleet of articulated coaches for many years, not just since 2004.

Prior to the 1998 delivery of the D60s, Metro had 270 or so MAN SG 220 and 310 coaches in the 1400 and 2000 series, one of which #1455 has been preserved. They were replaced by 273 D60s, of which 2 have been perminatly retired due to fire. in 1990 Metro bought 235 Breda Duobuses for use in the tunnel, those coaches were replaced in 2004 with an eaqual number of DE60LFs. At that time some standard D60LFs were purchased as expansion, plus some DE60LFs were freed up by Sound Transit purchasing their own fleet of DE60LFs. Around 50 more DE60LFs were added within the past 2 years as expansion, plus around 25 DE60As added.

It's my understanding that the D60s are being displaced from service when the new DE60As come online, as there will be added transit service as mitigation for some major highway projects in the region. Of course with the threat of service cutbacks this all could change...
