The Buses of Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, bus-wise, was a disappointment. Partly, this could be blamed on the manner and timing of arrival in Puerto Rico (we arrived late in the afternoon on a Friday, moved constantly through the traffic, and wound up at a hotel well into the block from the street (although the place was right on the beach). We also took a taxi doing so.). Partly, the lack of time in Puerto Rico may also be to blame. I noticed at least a few bus stops, as well as RTS buses; the buses, unfortunately, were all snapped from a bouncing taxi traveling between the Old City of San Juan and the cruise port (while some ships dock right in the Old City, ours docked across the harbor at a spot next to a small airport). Friday turned into Saturday (aka Cruise Sailing Day), and we headed into Old San Juan after getting settled into our cabins.

I also noticed a boxier bus type, but failed to take pictures of it.

Here are the puertorriquenyo pix, then:

A "parada", or bus stop, in San Juan.

A more typical "parada".

Not a bus, but, hey, a horse drawn buggy can't be all bad, can it? :)
