Exactly. Different populations are being served. You can't just plan by looking at a map. Also, since no mention was made of three-legged transfers, some riders will have to now pay double fare as a result of these cuts.A dumb politician once saw all the buses on a variety of routes in Downtown Brooklyn one block from their termini and wondered why it was necessary to operate so many empty buses so close to each other. While the MTA is not that dumb, their planning isn't very intelligent either. |
