They could have posted specific signage in large type for the routes affected. The TV coverage only focused on the student demonstrations of the end to reduced fares. There was very little focus on the cuts themselves. Only a few were talked about most notably the M and V. Of the bus changes, they only spoke of the Bronx ones that Walder wanted them to look at again and Channel 5 had report on the B69. I believe 33 routes were eliminated and 100 affected. I heard no mention by the media of the B64 or most of the other changes. |
