Before I post my response to you. If you already see this message from Mr Mabstoa already, skip it, go below it to response that I quote to you.

________________________________________________________
Brian Weinberg's comments on "buses suck". Read Mr. Mabstoa says....

http://www.subchat.com/buschat/read.asp?Id=179973

"it didn't suck anywhere nearly as much as riding buses any time of day does." --- from Brian Weinberg

"So all the time you spent in December on 42 Street obsessing over the vintage buses really sucked?
Why were you out there everyday then?
You did something you really hated everyday?
WEIRD!" --- from Mr. Mabstoa

So, tell me is Terrapin Station is right or wrong?

For your posts:
"With all due respect, the points that Terrapin Station made are the thoughts of many people in society. There's a reason why people take trains and avoid buses. There's a reason why LRT spurs development and bus lines tend not to. There's a reason why homes near good rail service cost a heck of a lot more than homes that are far away from rail."

- I think Weinberg has a faulty logic. There are still lots of areas dont have rail service. Yet buses already serve them. Trains and buses shared the same faults except they have advantages which we already know.

"We are horrendously biased on this board because, well, we happen to like buses. We happen to like the roar of the engine, the style, the bumps (who else in their right mind would ENJOY the fact that they are launched sky high while riding a MACK?), and more. However, many other people don't like them.

I remember I was chatting with an avid railfan about Silverliner IVs and SEPTA stuff. I mentioned "El Dorados". He asked, "what's that?" I say, "a type of bus." His reply? "Ew." His point of view is shared by many, unfortunately."

- Of course, I am not disagree with your response. Except Weinberg wrote, "buses suck"... means every thing about buses sucks? He just doesnt get it at all. That is why I posted my replies to him. He probably avoids it because those responses that I wrote are mostly true.

"Fact of the matter is, in inclement weather, buses tend to be much less reliable than trains. Oh well, that's a fact of life. At the same time, if a train breaks down in, let's say, a tunnel or an el, its a bit less convenient to get off than a broken down bus.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, regardless how close to live to one mode or the other."

Yes its true.

"Let's agree to disagree and stop these stupid threads about pwnage (that's so last decade ^_^) and talk about other stuff regarding transit!"

- Not unless Brian Weinberg need his BRAIN SURGERY since HE BADLY needs it.

"This really isn't a good way to start a new decade..."

- Of course, its not a good start. Look at last year's flamewar with Brian wanted to threaten someone's life. Wow, that was some fireworks back then.
