The S40/S90 are pretty good and reliable routes too, but I would definitely be glad to see them replaced by the North Shore Line.The North Shore line could easily be rebuilt for a new elevated and/or grade-separated Select Bus Service as a short-term solution. The rest of the routes do suck though because they're all insanely long and because of that, they rarely connect with the ferries that they're supposed to. The thing about Staten Island's bus routes is that most of them provide urban service for suburban demand. |
