Great shots! I do miss the Twin Cities region - it was a nice area to stay and transit fan when I was there in 2005.

Looks like SW updated their scheme/logo, although I'm glad they kept the black/brown scheme. It really looks so sharp!

Looks like they are repainting the older Gilligs. The Phantoms really don't look so bad, and neither do the regular low floors (small nitpick, that bus is Metro's 2nd generation of Gillig Low Floor hybrids. The first generation (where there were just 10 of them, I believe) had the battery pack inside of the bus, rather than on the roof). I guess I just really hate that yellow in the headlight area.

Speaking of the Metro Gillig Low Floors, is there a reason why the 2nd batch of hybrids have black window panes unlike the rest of the fleet?

When did MVTA get MCIs?! Wait - were these the replacements for the articulated buses?

Also, I didn't realize that you can ride the University of Minnesota shuttle as a civilian! That would be great to know whenever (if-ever) I make it back out there.

Finally, Shakopee Transit - is that a new agency coming into Minneapolis?

These are great pictures. It's fantastic to see how the Minneapolis Area has changed. If you are still out there, I highly suggest going to St. Paul for a different, more artistic setting and, of course, a heck of a lot of other buses/routes. Is Lorenze still running?
