The MTA, going out of it way to NOT keep B/O's safe from their wonderful customers. Remember don't pay your fare and stab to B/O when you want a transfer you don't desreve. The funny thing is he rather stab someone to death than beat the fare twice. The TTC is installing a partitions after several violent attacks on B/O's, including one where a driver was shot and blinded in 2006. If the MTA took a cue from the TTC a lot of issues would be dealt with e.g Orion VII hybrids, preventing driver assaults, reduction of service delays and laundry list of other things. The MTA does everything for it's customers except provide reliable service, reliable equiptment and keep B/O's safe so they can have the aforementioned. Sorry about the rant, I am one pissed off bus operator in light of this and other things. |
